How Pyramid Club Turned a Member-Spotlight Podcast Into Its Best-Performing Content

Pyramid Club is a private city club in Philadelphia, part of the Invited Clubs network. It needed a member engagement strategy that went beyond email and events. We built a show around its members. Here's what happened.

At a glance:

The problem

Member communication ran on mass email and a limited social presence. Email tells members what's happening. It doesn't show them who they'd be sitting next to.

The club needed a consistent way to create content that felt personal, put its members on camera, and gave prospective members an honest look at the culture inside.

What we built

We built a podcast-led content engine around three moves:

  1. Launch a branded member-spotlight show: People At Pyramid
  2. Feature members as guests, so the people in the club become the faces of it
  3. Repurpose every episode into short-form video and publish consistently across channels, including a brand-new YouTube presence

SBX handled the full workflow: strategy, recording, production, and the social content that came out of each episode. The club's job was to show up and talk.

The results

Podcast clips became Pyramid Club's top organic content.

The club's best-performing content was its own members in conversation. That's the engine: every episode strengthens the connection with current members and shows prospective members exactly what they'd be joining. It's the same progression we map in our guide to member engagement strategies.

Caleb Gibson, General Manager of Pyramid Club

"The show put our engagement strategy on steroids. Members felt ownership of the content. SBX made the process seamless. They just got it from day one."
